Accepting Love as Our Life

The Thought of God created you. It left you not, nor have you ever been apart from it an instant. It belongs to you. By it you live. It is your Source of life, holding you one with it, and everything is one with you because it left you not. The Thought of God protects you, cares for you, makes soft your resting place and smooth your way, lighting your mind with happiness and love. Eternity and everlasting life shine in your mind, because the Thought of God has left you not, and still abides with you. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.165.2. See also ACIM Lesson 165 Insights.)

The Thought of God is Love extending Itself. Love surrounds us, energizes us, keeps us safe in Its perfect harmlessness and gives us eternal Life. Being without form, the Thought of Love cannot be seen in the forms of the world. It is seen through our inner spiritual vision that looks beyond form.

To know the joy and peace of Love, we need to stop denying Its presence. This is what forgiveness does. Forgiveness releases the barriers we have put up by choosing to believe in the reality of a false world, where Love’s oneness is not welcome. Because this false world of separation denies Love, we are all on a constant quest for Love.  But we can not find it in the world of separation and differences. Yet Love remains ever present, ready to bless us with Its Light the moment we are willing to let It in.

The practice of focusing our attention on the Holy Spirit’s interpretation of everything we perceive is how we forgive the world and release ourselves to receive the Love that has already been given without limit. This is how we forgive. With this practice, joy and peace are remembered and accepted. And we give thanks.
