Accepting and Extending God’s Peace and Joy

God’s peace and joy are yours. Today we will accept them, knowing they belong to us. And we will try to understand these gifts increase as we receive them.

Accept God’s peace and joy, and you will learn a different way of looking at a gift. God’s gifts will never lessen when they are given away. They but increase thereby. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.105.1:1-3;3:3-5. See also ACIM Lesson 105 Insights.)

God’s peace and joy are limitless and He wills that we have all of His peace and joy. Because God is our Creator, we also share God’s Will. Thus our true Will is to offer God’s peace and joy without limit.

Thus to know God’s peace and joy, we must offer it equally to all. This means we must give God’s peace and joy to the person who upsets us the same as we would give it to one we call friend. To do this we must let go of our judgments so we can see past bodies and what they seem to do to the Love that is there eternally.

The ego would never show us this. We need to bring all our thoughts and judgments to the Holy Spirit and accept His help to see the truth of Love behind them. With His help we will learn to extend Love’s peace and joy equally to all. As we do this, we also experience the peace and joy that is given us.
