Neutral thoughts are impossible because all thoughts have power. They will either make a false world or lead me to the real one. But thoughts cannot be without effects. As the world I see arises from my thinking errors, so will the real world rise before my eyes as I let my errors be corrected. My thoughts cannot be neither true nor false. They must be one or the other. What I see shows me which they are.
What I see witnesses to what I think. If I did not think I would not exist, because life is thought. Let me look on the world I see as the representation of my own state of mind. On page one of the Course, we are told that Love can have no opposite because It is all encompassing. This is why fear can only seem to exist in illusions. Thus the real world is the world of Love and nothing else.
When we see images and actions that seem to represent harm, loss, lack, pain, sickness, vulnerability, hate or fear, we are seeing the effect of thoughts based on our belief in being separate from Love. They seem real only because of thinking errors caused by our belief. They represent of our state of mind.
It is important to remember that we can change our beliefs. When we change our beliefs, our state of mind changes and what we see will change. As we practice being mindful of what we are seeing, we can become aware of when there is a need to let our errors be corrected.
They are cues that we need to bring these perceptions and thoughts to the Holy Spirit with willingness to receive His correction. This is how we learn to focus on the reality of Love and disregard the mistaken thoughts based on belief in separation. We change our state of mind as we learn to see the real world of Love’s oneness.
