We Would Make No Decisions on Our Own

Peace abides in every mind that quietly accepts the plan God set for its Atonement, relinquishing its own. You know not of salvation, for you do not understand it. Make no decisions about what it is or where it lies, but ask the Holy Spirit everything, and leave all decisions to His gentle counsel.

…Forget Him not and He will make every decision for you, for your salvation and the peace of God in you. (A Course in Miracles T-14.12:4-6;14:7)

It is impossible to know real Love in this dream world of separation because it is the denial of the oneness of Love. That is why relying on our own ideas of where to find Love will always fail. The good news is that we always have the Holy Spirit in our minds Who does know what Love is and how to guide us back to It. This is why it is essential to have the habit of making no decisions on our own and being willing to let the Holy Spirit decide all things on our behalf. There is no other way to be truly happy.

Our practice today is to welcome the Holy Spirit’s kind and gentle guidance to lead us along the way that returns us to full awareness that we are Love and nothing else. This is all we want. This is everything He can give. With this practice it will indeed be a happy day.
