Let Love Flow Freely

Robert:
This symbol of being a surfer riding Holy Spirit’s Wave is helpful for me. Everything I need in the present moment is in Holy Spirit’s Wave. I just need to follow the Wave. If I try to make plans of my own, I lose connection with the Wave. The way to maintain the connection is to stay in peace. Vigilance is required because I am breaking an old habit of trying to make my own wave. But as long as I am following, the ride is effortless because I am not trying to usurp the role of the Holy Spirit.

Along with this symbol it is helpful for me to remember that all form has no meaning of its own. The only meaning anywhere is Love. If my peace is disturbed by any appearance, it can only be a mistaken meaning I am giving an image that disturbs me. Love brings only peace with It. So as I practice stepping back into peace, I see past the appearance to the Love and flow easily along Holy Spirit’s wave.

Today is another day to practice seeing beyond images to let Love flow freely.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Remember that you rest in God today… Remember that you rest in Love… Let go of everything but Love… Let Love be in charge… Follow as Love leads you… This how to be truly helpful. Let the happiness that is inherent in Love lead you safely to the eternal Truth.

Accept and Extend Peace

Mary:
In our reading in A Course in Miracles Text this morning, this was particularly helpful: “Peace will be yours because His peace still flows to you from Him Whose Will is peace. You have it now. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to use it, and by extending it, to learn that it is in you.” (ACIM T-13.XI.8:4-6)

I am being reminded here that God’s peace is still flowing to all of us. We all have it now. My job is to listen to the Holy Spirit Who will teach me how to accept peace and extend peace. This is how I can be truly helpful. This is my real job today behind the mundane physical duties that show up through the day. Accepting peace and extending peace is our one deeper purpose. It is what each day is really for. And I give thanks.

Robert:
I am learning that the appearances in the world are form and are therefore not content. The only real content in any moment is Love. And in this world there can also be a call for love when there is belief in lack. This is the only meaningful content in anything in the world.

The ego is incapable of recognizing content because it cannot understand Love. Consequently the ego always reacts to form, oblivious to content. When I pay attention to the ego, the world is full of conflict and change. Nothing can be counted on. Even periods of seeming happiness do not last when they are based on form.

The way to move past the uncertainty of the world is to look past the forms to the content. I cannot do this while I believe I am on my own. But the Holy Spirit in my mind is ever-present ready to show me the real content beyond the form. To receive His gift, I need to redirect my attention by focusing on maintaining a state of peacefulness and to practice listening for His kind and gentle guidance. Today I would walk with Him and see as He sees, for I would remember that I dwell in Love.

Your True Identity Lacks Nothing

Robert:
Yesterday I had an experience in which I perceived that someone was asking me for the moon. I reacted with defensiveness, believing that I could not give what was being asked for. Recognizing that I was not in peace and therefore was not perceiving truly, I took time to step back and return to a peaceful state of mind.

As I returned to peace and opened to the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, I recognized the call for help that the request represented. My initial reaction was a reaction to the form, not the content. As I became clearer on the content of the request, I softened, letting down the defenses that blocked my vision and interfered with inspiration. I recognized that there is another way of looking at this. I do want to be helpful. I do want to extend Love. I want to recognize the truth that there is nothing to fear.

I am not yet sure of the form in which this helpfulness will be expressed, but I am confident that in peace I will be inspired to be truly helpful and that there will be blessings for everyone. I would be truly helpful today.

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Today let yourself be carried… Relax, step back and let inspiration come to you… Wait in a place of quiet… Open your mind to the Light of truth, and let in peace and joy… Let yourself remember that you have all that is real… Let yourself remember that your true Identity lacks nothing… Be still and listen.

Accepting Guidance

Mary:
This is my prayer today: I open to Your beingness of peace… I let all concerns melt in Your healing Light… I remember we are all safe in Your Love, no matter what our dreams look like… I practice resting in Your Light today… I open to receiving your inspiration about what anything means in the world… I am grateful for Your guidance all through the day. Amen.

Robert:
I have a deep desire to follow Holy Spirit’s lead. Particularly, I want to be sure that I am following Holy Spirit’s lead with the selection of a property for Pathways of Light in Florida. I am seeing now that the ego has used this desire as an excuse for efforting as I ‘try’ to figure out what is Holy Spirit’s plan. This comes up with futurizing — trying to figure out the plan ahead of time. I think I will be more safe if I know what’s coming. I am placing more trust in having a plan for what’s coming than in Holy Spirit’s loving and gentle guidance. All this efforting and figuring out a plan for the future reflects a lack of trust in the Holy Spirit’s guidance and an underlying belief in my unworthiness of Holy Spirit’s care.

My prayer today is this: Holy Spirit, help me to remember your Love and sure protection. Help me to remember that I am the Self that God created, still one with Him and safe in Heaven. This is all I really need and want. Thank you.

The Peace Beyond Appearances

Holy Spirit to Robert:
You think it is your job to sort, organize, interpret and understand the images the body’s eyes present to you. Because the images are illusions, all this effort accomplishes nothing. While you seem to be in this world, the body’s eyes will present an endless stream of images. At the same time, your mind parades its own images from the past, trying to thread them together to make up images of the future. Do not deny that you experience this, for this is the way the ego makes the world seem real. But do deny that any of these images have any meaning. You do this by refusing to interpret any image on your own.

Walk with Me and hold My hand today. Share your thoughts, interpretations and images with Me. I will take them in peace and return them to you washed free of conflict and show you the truth that lies beyond the images. Walk with Me today by keeping your attention on peace. I am in the peaceful part of your mind that remembers What you are. I am always present, reminding you that beyond all appearances is the Love of God that you are. Walk with Me today and be at peace.

Mary:
As I open to the Holy Spirit this morning, the thought that comes to me is, “Peace to my mind. Let all my thoughts be still.” This is very simple and direct and to the point. It says it all. This is my practice for today. My focus now is on accepting the peace that is mine and let it lead me to awakened perspective.

Looking Past Appearances

Robert:
Yesterday we were encouraged to pay attention to when we were attempting to plan and solve problems on our own. This was a very helpful exercise. It brought to my attention that attempting to solve problems and make plans on my own is habitual. Without mindfulness, I would be caught up in this habit all day long. It requires a radical reversal of attention from the images of the world to willingness to receive Holy Spirit’s vision. It requires a willingness to look past appearances and let the Holy Spirit show me what is really there — Love and nothing else; certainty and peace, and nothing else.

I can be experiencing Love’s certainty and peace in every moment. It’s already in me, but the habit of attempting to plan and solve problems “out there” makes me unaware of the reality within. I want the peace of God. I want to know the Love I am. And so I will practice again bringing all my attempts to plan and solve problems on my own to the Holy Spirit. I want His vision and I am grateful that it is always given.

Mary:
Today is a day of opening to the truth. This is what this day is for. My job is to practice stepping back all through the day and open to a correction in my perceptions. As I do this, the Holy Spirit will show me a world beyond this world — a world of oneness and peace. I am grateful that this opportunity is given me today as I am willing to receive it.

Listening for Heaven

Holy Spirit to Mary:
Today it is your opportunity to practice listening for Heaven. You do this by taking a deep breath and opening your mind to My message for you in the present moment…

This listening will undo what you think you know. So this listening takes a willingness for what you think you know to be undone. It takes being gentle and patient with yourself as you notice all the thoughts of defense against the truth show up in your mind.

Your job now is to watch your tension level and continuously hand over thoughts of trying to figure anything out on your own. This is what “let go and let God” means. In truth you rest in God all the time, but you fight letting this awareness in when you try to figure out what things mean on your own.

Practice taking a deep breath frequently today and as you exhale, see Holy Spirit being invited into your mind to bring you the truth to help you remember Heaven. This is what listening for Heaven means. Practice this as much as possible today and you will receive big dividends on your investment. Enjoy the benefits of this practice. It is the way out of hell for you.

Holy Spirit to Robert:
“Let go and let God” is another way of saying rest in God. You are now and eternally safe in God. That cannot change, for truth does not change. But you do not experience the rest that comes with your safety in God when you attempt to usurp your Source and make a world that excludes It. It is this made up world “outside” of God that needs to be let go.

One of the ways you attempt to hold on to your made up world is by attempting to solve “problems” on your own. This gives you an illusion of having a problem solving ability. But the problems are made up and so is the ability. It is just a self-perpetuating illusion that problems are real. Your attempt to solve them simply means you have decided the problems are real.

The Holy Spirit offers you a means for problem solving that works because it shines a light on the problem and shows that it is not there. Of yourself alone it is impossible to see this. That is why it is essential that you practice diligently and consistently offering every perceived problem to the Holy Spirit and open to His true solution. The practice of being mindful in each moment of your attempts to interpret and plan, and offering them to the Holy Spirit, is the way to remember Heaven. Have a heavenly day.
