Accepting Christ’s Healing Vision

This is the miracle of creation; that it is one forever. Every miracle you offer to the Son of God is but the true perception of one aspect of the whole. Though every aspect is the whole, you cannot know this until you see that every aspect is the same, perceived in the same light and therefore one. Everyone seen without the past thus brings you nearer to the end of time by bringing healed and healing sight into the darkness, and enabling the world to see. For light must come into the darkened world to make Christ’s vision possible even here. Help Him to give His gift of light to all who think they wander in the darkness, and let Him gather them into His quiet sight that makes them one. (A Course in Miracles, T-13.VIII.5. Forgiveness is letting go of the past. Thus forgiveness brings the miracle because it clears away darkness from the past and makes way for the Light of Love to shine through in the present. Each moment of forgiveness, letting go of the past, brings us closer to the gates of Heaven. Forgiveness lets us see the Light in our brother that is the one Light of God.

Today we practice opening our minds to the vision that comes as we let the Light of Christ shine away the past. As we welcome Christ’s vision, our minds are healed and we give the gift of healing to what we look upon. Today we would heal by accepting Christ’s healing vision.

We Practice Accepting the Real Life We Share with God

Let us today be children of the truth, and not deny our holy heritage. Our life is not as we imagine it. Who changes life because he shuts his eyes, or makes himself what he is not because he sleeps, and sees in dreams an opposite to what he is? We will not ask for death in any form today. Nor will we let imagined opposites to life abide even an instant where the Thought of life eternal has been set by God Himself.

His holy home we strive to keep today as He established it, and wills it be forever and forever. He is Lord of what we think today. And in His Thoughts, which have no opposite, we understand there is one life, and that we share with Him, with all creation, with their thoughts as well, whom He created in a unity of life that cannot separate in death and leave the Source of life from where it came. We practice accepting that we are still as God created us… We practice accepting the truth that God is pure, eternal Love, and we are extensions of God’s Love…

We practice acknowledging the truth today, that Love is our Source and we remain as we were created… We practice letting the Truth return to our willing mind…

Because we truly want the Truth, we receive it with joy and peace… We let God’s peace and happiness return to our minds today…

Accepting Holy Spirit’s Gentle Correction

What is the holy instant but God’s appeal to you to recognize what He has given you? Here is the great appeal to reason; the awareness of what is always there to see, the happiness that could be always yours. Here [in the holy instant] is the constant peace you could experience forever. Here is what denial has denied revealed to you. For here the final question [do I want to see what I denied because it is the truth?] is already answered, and what you ask for given. Here [in the holy instant] is the future now, for time is powerless because of your desire for what will never change. For you have asked that nothing stand between the holiness of your relationship and your awareness of its holiness. (A Course in Miracles, T-21.VIII.5. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

“Do I want to be happy? Do I want to accept the truth of What I am, the Self that God created?” These are the same question. God’s Will for us is perfect happiness and our true Self share’s God’s Will. If we are not in constant joy it is because we have answered “no” to these questions.

The ego always says no to the truth. If we identify with the ego and its thought system, we are choosing against God’s joy and God’s peace.

By the grace of God, we have the means within our minds to change that choice. We need only offer all our thoughts to the Holy Spirit with willingness to have them transformed into the singular desire to accept the truth of What we are. The Holy Spirit will happily dismiss all our thoughts of denial and return our true Thoughts to us bright and clean, shining the Light of Love in our minds.

We dedicate today to practice giving all our thoughts to Holy Spirit for His gentle correction.

Love’s Oneness Sees Past Images of Separation

The real world is a state in which the mind has learned how easily do idols go when they are still perceived but wanted not. How willingly the mind can let them go when it has understood that idols are nothing and nowhere, and are purposeless. For only then can guilt and sin be seen without a purpose, and as meaningless. (A Course in Miracles, T-30.V.5:2-4. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

An idol is a false image, a dream of separation and differences. It is the opposite of the oneness of Love. Dreams can only offer substitutes for reality, but never Reality Itself. Substitutes will never make us truly happy and can never be eternal. What is not eternal is not real.

We have deceived ourselves into thinking that forms in the world have value. Yet looked at honestly, nothing in the world has brought us lasting happiness. As we recognize this, we see that the images of the world have no real value to us. Perceiving no value in them, we easily let go of false images.

Today we ask the Holy Spirit to help us recognize the valueless for what it is so we can lay it down. Thus do we make way for the happy dream that forgiveness brings. As we follow the Holy Spirit’s lead, we can be truly helpful in the awakening from the dream of separation.

I Remember Who I Am

I will identify with what I think is refuge and security. I will behold myself where I perceive my strength, and think I live within the citadel where I am safe and cannot be attacked. Let me today seek not security in danger, nor attempt to find my peace in murderous attack. I live in God. In Him I find my refuge and my strength. In Him is my Identity. In Him is everlasting peace. And only there will I remember Who I really am. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 261, W-pII.261.1. See also ACIM Lesson 261 Insights.)

Today we practice remembering that we are Love in the Mind of Love. We practice remembering that this is true about everyone we meet or think of. We all live in God. The only thing that is real is that we are Love in the Mind of Love. Our function as Love is loving, including everyone universally in that Love. We open to the Mind of God today and accept God’s Thoughts as our thoughts.

We lay down our thoughts that come from belief in separation. We ask for the Mind of Truth to lighten our mind today. We are filled with gratitude that we remain as God created us. We are one Self, united with our Creator. And we are filled with gratitude that only this is true.

Our True Self Is Our Strength

Strength is the truth about you; weakness is an idol falsely worshipped and adored that strength may be dispelled, and darkness rule where God appointed that there should be light.

Strength comes from truth, and shines with light its Source has given it; weakness reflects the darkness of its maker. It is sick and looks on sickness, which is like itself. Truth is a savior and can only will for happiness and peace for everyone. It gives its strength to everyone who asks, in limitless supply. It sees that lack in anyone would be a lack in all. And so it gives its light that all may see and benefit as one. Its strength is shared, that it may bring to all the miracle in which they will unite in purpose and forgiveness and in love.

Strength and light unite in you, and where they meet, your Self stands ready to embrace you as Its Own. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 92, W-pI.92.4:7-5:7;9:2. See also ACIM Lesson 92 Insights.)

The ego is weakness and darkness because it is the denial of Love, which is the source of all strength and Light. Any time we feel weak in any way, we are identifying with the ego and its false images. Yet the strength and Light of our true Self is always with us. Denial of Its presence makes us unaware that It is there, yet It is still with us. The ego has no power to keep us in darkness and weakness. It is only our identification with the ego, with weakness and darkness, that makes it seem true to us.

Our true Self carries with It God’s strength and Light. As we disengage from identifying with the ego as what we are, we open to the strength and Light of our true Self. The nature of our true Self is to offer and see strength and Light everywhere. As we identify with the Love we are, we naturally offer Love and Light and strength to everyone. Our true Self always blesses and we know we are blessed.

Today we remind ourselves through the day that Light and strength and Love are with us and happily share it everywhere.

Giving the Touch of Christ

The present offers you your brothers in the light that would unite you with them, and free you from the past. Would you, then, hold the past against them? For if you do, you are choosing to remain in the darkness that is not there, and refusing to accept the light that is offered you. For the light of perfect vision is freely given as it is freely received, and can be accepted only without limit. In this one, still dimension of time that does not change, and where there is no sight of what you were, you look at Christ and call His witnesses to shine on you because you called them forth. And they will not deny the truth in you, because you looked for it in them and found it there.

Now is the time of salvation, for now is the release from time. Reach out to all your brothers, and touch them with the touch of Christ. (A Course in Miracles, T-13.VI.7:1-8:2. See also ACIM Text Q & A.)

Because we are Love, in truth we are always giving Love to everyone. As we open to the Love we are, it is natural to extend Love because that is Love’s function. Today our practice is to return to the Love we are and touch every brother with the touch of Christ.

We do this by letting go of the past and all its judgments, and seeing the Christ in every brother in the eternal present.  We see Love and nothing else. Every brother becomes a witness that reminds us of the innocence and Love in us.
