Today We Quiet Our Minds and Practice Following Holy Spirit

No matter what — we practice relaxing and letting Holy Spirit be in charge… The Holy Spirit is in our mind in every now moment. Our opportunity today is to let ourselves be carried by the Holy Spirit in each now moment… Letting ourselves be carried means we do not try to do anything on our own. We are following; we are not leading. We are listening in a place of quiet to receive our guidance in the present moment…

We practice today letting ourselves be carried. We let go of the past and the future, and pay attention to how we are being guided right now.

We Open to the Light

Your Friend goes with you. You are not alone. No one who calls on Him can call in vain. Whatever troubles you, be certain that He has the answer, and will gladly give it to you, if you simply turn to Him and ask it of Him. He will not withhold all answers that you need for anything that seems to trouble you. He knows the way to solve all problems, and resolve all doubts. His certainty is yours. You need but ask it of Him, and it will be given you. (A Course in Miracles, W-Epilogue.1:2-9)

As we make opening to the Light our highest priority, we relax and follow the inner Inspiration we receive. We stick closely to this inner Inspiration and follow its flow with ease and peace. We remember we are immersed in God’s Love and have everything we need to serve God’s plan of awakening. We are filled with gratitude and peace and joy as we hold our minds open to the Light.

I Will There Be Light

I will to follow Holy Spirit’s plan today. I will to learn Holy Spirit’s lessons. I will to let my mind be changed so that I see as the Holy Spirit sees. I will to let Love lead the way all through the day. I will to follow Holy Spirit’s lead. My vigilance is for this and this alone.

God’s Strength Is Ours

To identify with the ego is to identify with weakness, because it is the denial of the strength of God in us. To identify with the Love of God as what we are is to identify with God’s strength. We have but these two choices for our identity. The first is the choice for nothing; the second is the choice for Everything.

Today we will remind ourselves frequently that we are sustained by the Love of God. The Love of God is our strength. It is what we are. And what is true for us is true for every brother. If we see the appearance of weakness in a brother, we will remind ourselves that he is sustained by the Love of God, as are we.

This practice opens our hearts and minds to welcome God’s Love, to welcome our true Identity. As we remember this, we identify with God’s strength as ours.

Rise Above to See the Love

Put not your faith in illusions. They will fail you. Put all your faith in the Love of God within you; eternal, changeless and forever unfailing. This is the answer to whatever confronts you today. Through the Love of God within you, you can resolve all seeming difficulties without effort and in sure confidence. Tell yourself this often today. It is a declaration of release from the belief in idols. It is your acknowledgment of the truth about yourself. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.50.4)

The truth is only the Love that we all are is real. Our focus for today is to allow the Holy Spirit to be in charge of our mind. We want to see as Holy Spirit sees. We want to see past illusions to the truth that nothing has happened to change God’s one Son from the Love he is. Only this brings happiness and joy to world, including ourselves. All this happens automatically as we rise above to see the Love.

Peace on Earth. Good Will Toward All Men

The attainment of a steady and constant state of peace can be said to be the goal of A Course in Miracles. A peaceful mind is quiet, and a quiet mind easily attains the condition in which God is remembered. A peaceful mind is happy and shares its happiness with everyone. A peaceful mind is kind, for it looks on everyone as itself. Its gratitude is offered to all, for it perceives the gifts it is constantly receiving from its brothers. Love and kindness are the hallmarks of a peaceful mind, offered to all its brothers without conditions, asking nothing in return.” (From the Christ Mind, pages 202-203)

We dedicate today and every day to the practice of receiving and extending the peace of God. As our willingness to receive peace expands, the Light of our true Self shines in our mind and brings with It the awareness of what is true.

As we consistently choose to receive and extend peace, the veil is lifted and we are able to experience the real world, the world beyond illusions. The ego thought system is seen as meaningless and without effect. As we consistently choose peace, we are choosing to let Holy Spirit be our Guide. And lasting joy and happiness are the result.

Let Go and Let God

Father, we do not know the way to You. But we have called, and You have answered us. We will not interfere. Salvation’s ways are not our own, for they belong to You. And it is unto You we look for them. Our hands are open to receive Your gifts. We have no thoughts we think apart from You, and cherish no beliefs of what we are, or Who created us. Yours is the way that we would find and follow. And we ask but that Your Will, which is our own as well, be done in us and in the world, that it become a part of Heaven now. Amen. Today our practice is to step back, set aside what we think we know, and follow Holy Spirit’s way of being of service to the awakening.
