Accept the Thought of Love and Be Happy

This day my mind is quiet, to receive the Thoughts You offer me. And I accept what comes from You, instead of from myself. I do not know the way to You. But You are wholly certain. Father, guide Your Son along the quiet path that leads to You. Let my forgiveness be complete, and let the memory of You return to me. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.291.2)

If we want to be free of the limitation that comes with belief in separation, we have to let go of the source of limitation. We need to shift our attention from what the body, the ego’s chief mechanism of separation, seems to show us. Instead we need to accept the Thought that comes from our true Source.

Without our attention, the ego’s manifestations will wither and fall away. The ego has no energy of its own to sustain itself. But our true Source is the Source of all Life. It does not need our attention to exist, but It does need our attention for us to be aware of Its existence.

Thus today our focus is to accept the Thought of Love in each moment in place of the old ego thoughts of the past, of fear and guilt. As we let the Thought of Love be our Guide, we will see past the appearances of bodies and behavior and recognize the Presence of Love everywhere. We will experience the joy of uniting with Love everywhere, always.

Being A Channel of Love

Our prayer today: Father, help us to be channels of Your Love today. Help us to be truly helpful that we may remember that we share Your Love in our oneness with You. Help us to see our brothers as You see them. Help us to recognize calls for Love — our own or another’s — and respond with Love.

In all our doing, help us remember Your peace and extend it. Help us recognize temptations to fall into old ideas that deny You and let them go, for we would remember Your joy and Your peace. We would remember our Identity in You and accept Your gift of Heaven.

Seeing God’s Blessing Everywhere

God’s blessing is everywhere to be seen. We are eternally held within the safety and joy of His Love. In truth, there is nothing else to see.

If we see anything that is not a blessing, that is not Love, then we are seeing a false image. We are seeing a reflection of our belief in a false image of ourselves as separate and different from what God created. It is this false belief that needs to be corrected to clear the way for us to see all the blessings that surround us.

Today we pray: Holy Spirit, guide our vision today that we may see past our mistaken beliefs about what we are. Help us to see past the images of our brothers in bodies to the truth of our brothers as Love. Help us to recognize our own calls for Love when we see another as separate from ourselves. We are willing to let go of our false beliefs and to be shown the holiness in our brothers that is our own. In gratitude we accept God’s gift of Love.

Learning the Difference Between the Real and the Unreal

Today we practice letting the Holy Spirit show us the difference between the real and the unreal. Today we stay in communion with the Holy Spirit… We listen and receive… We allow peace to heal our conflicted thoughts… We choose to become aware of what is real…

We hand over our illusions of separation to the Holy Spirit to be undone… We allow the Holy Spirit to shine a Light on our illusions… We move past the clouds to the Light… Here there is peace… Here there is contentment… Here there is eternal happiness… All this comes as we are willing to let the Holy Spirit show us the difference between the real and the unreal. And we give thanks.

Take Every Problem to Holy Spirit

The old ego habit is to rely on our past learning as the basis for solving problems perceived in the present. If we look at how this works honestly, we have to admit that this is an inadequate problem solving approach that at best leads to only a temporary appearance of solution. It is time to let go of this faulty problem solving approach. We have been given a better way.

Today we practice using this better way. We dedicate this day to bringing all perceived problems or needs to the Holy Spirit. We release them to Him with willingness to receive His inspiration. We set aside old, stale ideas from the past about what might work. We are willing to clear our minds to receive a better way — a way that expresses the Love and unity that is the truth in everyone. The Holy Spirit will always lead us to do what is in the best interest and truly helpful for everyone. This is Love’s reflection in the world.

As we let the Holy Spirit guide us moment by moment, we bypass meaningless diversions and futile pursuits. Holy Spirit is the master time manager. He uses every moment to lead us on the express route to awakening to our true Identity. We dedicate today to following Holy Spirit’s lead.

Extending God’s Love

Deep within you is everything that is perfect, ready to radiate through you and out into the world. It will cure all sorrow and pain and fear and loss because it will heal the mind that thought these things were real, and suffered out of its allegiance to them.

You can never be deprived of your perfect holiness because its Source goes with you wherever you go. You can never suffer because the Source of all joy goes with you wherever you go. You can never be alone because the Source of all life goes with you wherever you go. Nothing can destroy your peace of mind because God goes with you wherever you go. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.41.3-4)

It is comforting to remember that the Source of all that Is goes with us wherever we go. The Source of all Love goes with us everywhere, in every moment. Remembering this brings confidence and peace, for there is nothing to fear when we remember that all Love is with us and in us. The strength of Love is ours, supporting us and guiding us in every moment. All we need do is accept It.

Today we will remind ourselves often that God is with us; His strength is ours and He has given us the Vision to see His Love in everyone and everything. Wherever we go, His Voice is there to guide us. We just need to pay attention and we will be guided to extend His Love and peace and joy in all our doing.

What Is Our Purpose?

Our purpose is to wake up from the dream of separation. Our true purpose is to remember our true Identity as one with all Love. Our purpose is to let our minds be changed by the Holy Spirit so that all our barriers to Love are removed.

Today we look at all the circumstances of our lives as opportunities to join with the Holy Spirit’s way of seeing the world. Today we open to Holy Spirit’s vision. With Holy Spirit as our Guide, we are able to see past all the stories of separation and differences to the one Truth that lies within us all. Beyond the stories is pure Love and nothing else. Beyond the stories is pure peace and happiness.

Today we are given another opportunity to let our barriers to the awareness of Love’s presence be removed by the Holy Spirit. Today we open our minds to the Light that the Holy Spirit provides as we give It welcome. Today we welcome mind healing and let every thought be brought to Truth with Holy Spirit’s help.

As we open to Truth, we live in peace, not fear. As we open to Truth, we forgive the world for all we ever thought it was. As we open to Truth, we are brought to the true beingness of Love. And this Love we extend to everyone equally. We are filled with gratitude for this wonderful opportunity each and every day.
