Heaven itself is reached with empty hands and open minds, which come with nothing to find everything and claim it as their own. We will attempt to reach this state today, with self-deception laid aside, and with an honest willingness to value but the truly valuable and the real.
Should you begin to let yourself collect some needless burdens, or believe you see some difficult decisions facing you, be quick to answer with this simple thought:

All day, every day, we are accepting the peace of Heaven, or accepting the ego’s strife and struggle. With the ego in charge, life is a struggle with one problem after the next to contend with.
As we grow tired of this and learn a better way, we open our minds to the help of the Holy Spirit, Who reminds us of the power of Love to heal all things. As we consistently practice the habit of stepping back from the ego’s frame of mind and opening to the Holy Spirit’s world of peace and extending Love, we leave the world of stress and strife behind. We accept the Holy Spirit’s plan of awakening to Love, instead of the ego’s plan of loneliness, depression and fear.
This is why the Course tells us, “Heaven itself is reached with empty hands and open minds, which come with nothing to find everything and claim it as their own..”
