The holy instant in which you and your brother were united is but the messenger of love, sent from beyond forgiveness to remind you of all that lies beyond it. Yet it is through forgiveness that it will be remembered.
And when the memory of God has come to you in the holy place of forgiveness you will remember nothing else [but God], and memory will be as useless as learning, for your only purpose will be creating [extending Love]. Yet this you cannot know until every perception has been cleansed and purified, and finally removed forever. Forgiveness removes only the untrue, lifting the shadows from the world and carrying it, safe and sure within its gentleness, to the bright world of new and clean perception. Through forgiveness we become a messenger of Love. In this time of gift-giving, let us give the most important gift of all. As we open to the memory of God in our minds, Love flows through and is extended to include every brother. As we allow this extension to flow through our mind consistently, our perceptions are cleansed and purified, and all that is untrue is removed from our minds.
We receive messages of Love and peace from the Christ Mind and see the Christ Mind in every brother. This is the implementation of the message, “peace on earth, good will toward all men.” This message we happily receive and give to every brother.
