We state again the truth about your Self, the holy Son of God Who rests in you; whose mind has been restored to sanity. You are the Spirit lovingly endowed with all your Father’s Love and peace and joy. You are the Spirit which completes Himself, and shares His function as Creator. Identifying with the ego and the body as what we are leaves us in a crisis of identity. It leaves us feeling like we are adrift in an open ocean with no sight of land and no way to find solid ground. Yet certainty and safety are available to us right now. We need only identify instead with the truth of What we are — Spirit held safely in the peace of God.
The solution to this identity crisis is simple and radical: Set aside identifying with an image in the world and accept the Truth that we are Spirit and nothing else. This is how we free ourselves from fear and guilt and open to receive God’s loving gifts of peace and joy.
Today we will remind ourselves often that we are Spirit. When we meet or even think of a brother, we will remind ourselves that he is Spirit and one with us in that Spirit. Each time we remember, we take a giant stride forward in our awakening to Love.
