I ask Your blessing on my sight today. It is the means which You have chosen to become the way to show me my mistakes, and look beyond them. It is given me to find a new perception through the Guide You gave to me, and through His lessons to surpass perception and return to truth. I ask for the illusion [of forgiveness] which transcends all those I made. Today I choose to see a world forgiven, in which everyone shows me the face of Christ, and teaches me that what I look upon belongs to me; that nothing is, except Your holy Son. The Course tells us that the body’s eyes can only see illusion because the body itself is only illusion. If we want to be aware of the truth of what we are, we need to shift our attention to a different kind of vision. The Course calls this Christ’s vision.
This is an inner vision that comes from the part of our mind that is eternally at one with our Creator. This part of our mind is wholly Love and wholly innocent. This part of our mind is our true Self. Because of What It is, It sees only Love and innocence.
As our Guide to true Vision, the Holy Spirit leads us to let go of the false idea of being separate and transforms our mistaken thoughts so that we can see the Love and innocence that Christ’s vision shows us. With this vision, we are at peace because there is no conflict in the oneness of Love.
Today we can take great strides toward the peace of God as we focus on being open to Christ’s vision. The ultimate reward of this practice is complete release from the hell of believing we are separate and alone.
