God’s Peace Is Always Ours

The stillness of the peace of God is mine.

Perhaps we are now ready for a day of undisturbed tranquility. ²If this is not yet feasible, we are content and even more than satisfied to learn how such a day can be achieved. ³If we give way to a disturbance, let us learn how to dismiss it and return to peace. ⁴We need but tell our minds, with certainty, “The stillness of the peace of God is mine,” and nothing can intrude upon the peace that God Himself has given to His Son.

Father, Your peace is mine. ²What need have I to fear that anything can rob me of what You would have me keep? ³I cannot lose Your gifts to me. ⁴And so the peace You gave Your Son is with me still, in quietness and in my own eternal love for You. Only the split mind believes that attack and loss are possible. It is always on edge, alert to defend itself against perceived impending attack. This mind denies the reality of the peace of God.

The mind of our true Self is always at peace. Whenever our peace of mind is disturbed, we need to pause and remind ourselves with all the certainty we can muster, “The stillness of the peace of God is mine.” Thus, we remind ourselves of the truth. God created us, His Son, by sharing all His peace and Love with His Creation. It is ours to accept in every moment.
