I Am as God Created Me

Mary:
As we read A Course in Miracles together this morning, this is what stood out:

I am as God created me. …Today’s idea is therefore all you need to let complete correction heal your mind, and give you perfect vision that will heal all the mistakes that any mind has made at any time or place. [I am as God created me.] It is enough to heal the past and make the future free. [I am as God created me.] It is enough to let the present be accepted as it is. [I am as God created me.] It is enough to let time be the means for all the world to learn escape from time, and every change that time appears to bring in passing by. [I am as God created me.] (W-pI.110.2)

This is my mantra for today. It is my opportunity to soak in this thought all through the day, letting it heal all the little passing thoughts that serve no real purpose. I am as God created me. Bringing this thought to mind throughout the day is like having a bottle of Mr. Clean cleanser handy to purify my mind of all thoughts that do not serve me. I find this is very helpful. And I give thanks.

Robert:
Today I was reminded of the following passage from the ACIM Workbook:

A healed mind does not plan. It carries out the plans that it receives through listening to wisdom that is not its own. It waits until it has been taught what should be done, and then proceeds to do it. It does not depend upon itself for anything except its adequacy to fulfill the plans assigned to it. It is secure in certainty that obstacles can not impede its progress to accomplishment of any goal that serves the greater plan established for the good of everyone. (W-pI.135.11)

This thought is central to awakening. By allowing myself to receive Holy Spirit’s plan, I am relieved of guilt because I am not making plans based on the false idea that I am separate, alone and need to be protected. Holy Spirit’s plan always serves His function, which is to lead us Home to our Source.

This is why it is essential for my peace of mind that I step back from making plans and open my mind and heart to Holy Spirit. It is this practice that will set me free because it redirects my attention from the old habit of acting out of belief in being separate to allowing myself to be reminded of what I am in truth. Following Holy Spirit’s plan will always lead me to the remembrance that I am as God created me.
