This is what stood out in our reading of A Course in Miracles this morning:
The real world was given you by God in loving exchange for the world you made and the world you see. Only take it from the hand of Christ and look upon it. Its reality will make everything else invisible, for beholding it is total perception. And as you look upon it you will remember that it was always so. Nothingness will become invisible, for you will at last have seen truly. (T-12.VIII.8:1-5)
Very early this morning, the thought that kept coming to me was, “Only Love is real.” Remembering this is my practice today. My opportunity for today is to consistently ask that the veil of separation be lifted so that I am able to see reality behind the illusions of separation. It is such a blessing to see the truth behind illusions. I see that I am blessed. And when I am willing to see the truth, that blessing extends and I know that Love is sharing one Identity. Letting the truth return to my mind is what time is for.
In every moment I make the choice between being right and happy. I am free to believe that my judgments about the world I see are right, but in that judgment, lasting happiness is impossible. I am also free to accept the gift of Love given me by my Creator and in that Love is perfect happiness beyond belief.
Do I want to be right or happy? That question is offered me in every moment. I choose happiness by relinquishing the role of judge. ACIM tells me that judgement is not my function. Judgment is the Holy Spirit’s function. (See T-12.VII.12:5-6) So when I let Holy Spirit fulfill His function in my mind without interference, I will see only Love, for only Love is real.
