Remembering Our Safety in God’s Love

How can illusions satisfy God’s Son?

Father, the truth belongs to me. ²My home is set in Heaven by Your Will and mine. ³Can dreams content me? ⁴Can illusions bring me happiness? ⁵What but Your memory can satisfy Your Son? ⁶I will accept no less than You have given me. ⁷I am surrounded by Your Love, forever still, forever gentle and forever safe. ⁸God’s Son must be as You created him.

Today we pass illusions by. ²And if we hear temptation call to us to stay and linger in a dream, we turn aside and ask ourselves if we, the Sons of God, could be content with dreams, when Heaven can be chosen just as easily as hell, and love will happily replace all fear. We are all held safely in God’s Love. But our identification with a false image is a barrier that makes us oblivious our Father’s Love. Our belief that we are separate and alone in a world of conflict makes us fearful. But this fear can be dispelled by letting the Holy Spirit show us that we only fear illusions.

Illusions cannot affect Reality. Recognition of illusions frees us from our beliefs in their seeming effects. We freely let them pass by as we let Love’s Light reveal that we remain at Home in the safety of our Father’s Love, unaffected by our mistaken beliefs.
