Rest in God’s Strength

Mary:
This morning when I went to the Holy Spirit in quiet, the message was that today my job is to rest in God. That sounds like a pretty nice job! It also means that it is not my job to judge on my own or make decisions on my own. This is the part that takes vigilance. It is only when I am vigilant to become aware of ego thoughts and hand them over that I am brought to the freedom I really want.

The false mind may still think that it has a job, but it is being given the pink slip. I no longer need or want that kind of assistance. As I remember, “in my defenselessness my safety lies,” I no longer need a defender. I no longer need the pretender identity. I can choose to let that go and focus on resting in God. This false identity may bring up objections and try to keep its old job, but it’s no longer needed. I see that I no longer need that kind of “help.”

Today I have one focus and that is to rest in God. From that one focus, everything that I need to remember will be there as I need it.

Robert:
Father, Your strength is mine. Help me to remember Your gift of Love. Help me recognize that Your Love is everywhere; I cannot be without It. It is in Your Love I live. There is no other life. The Life I live in You, I share with all my brothers because there is no other Life. In Your strength we live together as one. In Your strength is peace beyond understanding.

Today I would see with the eyes of Love that there is no strength but Yours, which is my own. Thank You, Father, for Your gift.
