My thoughts are images that I have made. Whatever I see reflects my thoughts. It is my thoughts that tell me where I am and what I am. The fact that I see a world in which there is suffering and loss and death shows me that I am seeing only the representation of my insane thoughts, and am not allowing my real thoughts to cast their beneficent light on what I see. Yet God’s way is sure. The images I have made cannot prevail against Him because it is not my will that they do so. My will is His, and I will place no other gods before Him. If I truly do not want to place other gods before God, I will remember to connect with the Christ in every brother. When I connect with my brother’s true Self, I will see him as he truly is, not what I have made of him. I will see his true Self, rather than my own projections.
As I connect with his true Self, I will be told what is most truly helpful in every situation. What is most truly helpful for my brother is most truly helpful for me. This is why we go Home together.
Today I will reinforce the practice of opening up to God’s Way. God sees every brother as part of Himself. God sees only the Love that is eternal and never changes. I will see as God sees when I see my brother as part of my one Self. This is my practice for today.
