In our reading in A Course in Miracles this morning, this stood out:
You have but two emotions, and one you made and one was given you. Each is a way of seeing, and different worlds arise from their different sights. See through the vision that is given you, for through Christ’s vision He beholds Himself. And seeing what He is, He knows His Father. Beyond your darkest dreams He sees God’s guiltless Son within you, shining in perfect radiance that is undimmed by your dreams. And this you will see as you look with Him, for His vision is His gift of Love to you, given Him of the Father for you. (T-13.V.10)
In each present moment I am being offered the gift of Christ’s vision, which is sanity. In each present moment I am being offered the gift of recognizing the truth beyond the insanity of separation. My most important function for today is to allow the Light of truth to enter my mind. Christ’s vision is always there waiting for my acceptance. Giving time to accepting Christ’s vision is my practice for today. There is nothing more important than this.
Judgment is always disturbing to my peace. Since peace is an attribute of Love and Love does not condemn, judgment is the denial of Love. Likewise, judgment and happiness are antithetical, because happiness is an attribute of Love. This is why forgiveness, letting go of judgment, is the key to happiness.
My level of happiness is consistently higher since I have been practicing applying ACIM in my life. I am much less prone to judgment, and I more quickly recognize my judgmental thoughts and let them go. I have great gratitude to the Course for teaching me how to recognize judgment. I am grateful that it has also taught me to turn those judgments over to the Voice of truth in me, where judgmental thoughts are seen through and Christ’s vision is revealed. Through this process I welcome the vision that shows me the innocence of Love everywhere.
Today is another day to open my mind to Christ’s vision through being vigilant for judgment and offering my judgmental thoughts to the Holy Spirit for reinterpretation.
