³Let us turn to Him Who leads the way and makes our footsteps sure.”
His is the only way to find the peace that God has given us. ²It is His way that everyone must travel in the end, because it is this ending God Himself appointed. ³In the dream of time it seems to be far off. ⁴And yet, in truth, it is already here; already serving us as gracious guidance in the way to go. ⁵Let us together follow in the way that truth points out to us. ⁶And let us be the leaders of our many brothers who are seeking for the way, but find it not.
And to this purpose let us dedicate our minds, directing all our thoughts to serve the function of salvation. ²Unto us the aim is given to forgive the world. ³It is the goal that God has given us. ⁴It is His ending to the dream we seek, and not our own. ⁵For all that we forgive we will not fail to recognize as part of God Himself. ⁶And thus His memory is given back, completely and complete. We have been traveling, using a map app to guide us on our way to our destination. As we travel, the final destination does not change. We may take little side trips along the way, but we are always called back to the path leading to our final destination. This is a great metaphor for the Guidance God gives us, leading us back to our Home with Him in the Heaven of His Love. Along the way we distract ourselves with side trips that seem appealing. But His Voice always calls us back to the Path that leads us back to Love.
Each time we forgive, the path gets brighter, more peaceful and clear. The journey changes from being filled with conflict, unhappiness and darkness to increasing joy, a sense of safety and trust that we are being carried along a journey that frees us from fear and guilt. We grow in our certainty that we are protected by the strength of God’s Love. Our happiness increases as we let that Love guide us in all our relationships, activities, words and thoughts. Love becomes the way we walk in gratitude.
