These are the lessons God would have you learn.⁵They are the same in fundamental content. ⁶It is this: ⁷Forgive, and you will see this differently. See also ACIM Lesson 193 Insights.) Perception is a construct of the ego. It is how differences are distinguished and judged. The ego uses perception to make the dream of separation seem real. Competition, conflict and war are all based on perceptions. But in the oneness of God’s Love, there are no differences to perceive. Only a mind asleep can dream of a world where specialness, change and loss can seem real. Our Father has given us the means to awaken from our frightening dreams of suffering and loss. When we forgive the perception of differences produced by the wish for specialness, we let the Light of Love shine in our world.
