Father, I will but to remember You.
What can I seek for, Father, but Your Love? ²Perhaps I think I seek for something else; a something I have called by many names. ³Yet is Your Love the only thing I seek, or ever sought. ⁴For there is nothing else that I could ever really want to find. ⁵Let me remember You. ⁶What else could I desire but the truth about myself?
This is your will, my brother. ²And you share this will with me, and with the One as well Who is our Father. ³To remember Him is Heaven. ⁴This we seek. ⁵And only this is what it will be given us to find. (A Course in Miracles, W-231. See also ACIM Lesson 231 Insights.)
To remember our Father is to remember Love. The world we believe we live in is a nightmare dream in which Love is denied. This dream leaves us feeling a sense of loss. This emptiness drives us to search for something to fill the loss. But within the dream, we search where there is no answer to fill the loss.
The answer can only be found in awakening from the dream. By affirming that we want to remember our Father, we are opening our mind to awaken from the dream.
Today we can bring happiness and joy to our lives as we accept the Thought that Love created us like Itself. Our Father is our Source; Love is our Source. We are being reminded that there is a Life we share with God. This shared Life is the eternal extension of God’s Love. As we accept this Life, the loss we experience in the dream is dispelled. We awaken to the fact that Love is What we are.
