My holiness shines bright and clear today.
Today I wake with joy, expecting but the happy things of God to come to me. ²I ask but them to come, and realize my invitation will be answered by the thoughts to which it has been sent by me. ³And I will ask for only joyous things the instant I accept my holiness. ⁴For what would be the use of pain to me, what purpose would my suffering fulfill, and how would grief and loss avail me if insanity departs from me today, and I accept my holiness instead?
Father, my holiness is Yours. ²Let me rejoice in it, and through forgiveness be restored to sanity. ³Your Son is still as You created him. ⁴My holiness is part of me, and also part of You. ⁵And what can alter Holiness Itself? (A Course in Miracles, W-285.1:1–2:5. See also ACIM Lesson 285 Insights.)
Joy is the natural state of our true Self. It is a condition we share with the one Self that joins us with every brother. If we are not experiencing this joy, it is because we have accepted an illusion of what we are instead of the Self God created one with Him.
Forgiveness is the means to release our misconceptions about Who we are. If our perception of a brother does not activate awareness of the joy we share, we need to forgive.
Today we ask of Holy Spirit,
Help me recognize the illusions I have substituted for my reality in God’s Love. Help me to let them go and remember the joy God wills for me in every relationship, including my relationship to Him.
