Letting Our True Self Lead

⁴It is impossible that anyone could seek [truth] truly, and would not succeed. ⁵Today belongs to truth. ⁶Give truth its due, and it will give you yours. ⁷You were not meant to suffer and to die. ⁸Your Father wills these dreams be gone. ⁹Let truth correct them all.

Begin by asking Him Who goes with you upon this undertaking that He be in your awareness as you go with Him. ²You are not made of flesh and blood and bone, but were created by the selfsame Thought which gave the gift of life to Him as well. ³He is your Brother, and so like to you your Father knows that You are both the same. ⁴It is your Self you ask to go with you, and how could He be absent where you are?

⁶Then let Him lead you gently to the truth, which will envelop you and give you peace so deep and tranquil that you will return to the familiar world reluctantly. (A Course in Miracles, W-107.6:4-9;8;9:6. See also ACIM Lesson 107 Insights.)

Our true Self is the part of us that knows Its Self as one with Its Creator, united with all in Love. It is the one Self we share with every brother. To perceive a brother as different from ourselves, is to believe illusions are real; it is a misperception caused by denial of the Love we are.

Today we ask to be aware of our true Self and let It show us the Love that our Father gave us as our true Identity. We want to see that Self as everyone’s Identity. With that recognition we will be certain of our safety. Anxiety will be replaced by peace, sadness will be replaced by joy, and fear will be replaced by Love.
