Put Out the Welcome Mat

Mary:
Today it is my job to surrender all I think I know. As I read A Course in Miracles I am reminded that in truth, I am the Light of the world and that forgiveness is my function as the Light of the world. What particularly stands out to me in this section is: “Let me be still before my holiness. In its calm light let all my conflicts disappear. In its peace let me remember Who I am.” (W-pI.81.1:3-5)

It can’t be more clear than that. As I am willing to forgive, or let go of all that I think I know, I leave an open space where true inspiration can enter. This is my job today — to let go of all I think I know and leave an open place of inner quiet where the Holy Spirit can enter. Being a “know-it-all” certainly has not worked. I am willing to be happy today and put out the welcome mat for the Holy Spirit Who does know that would bring me eternal happiness. This is my practice today.

Robert:
I want to remember Who I am. I open to that remembering by stepping back and letting Love lead the way. Today I will practice stepping back with each activity, whether it’s answering an email, talking on the phone or any other project. With stepping back and entering into peace, I let the inspiration of the one Self we all share be my guide. Each moment becomes an expression of Love. This is how I will remember Who I am.
