I went for an early morning walk today and I always love the colors of the morning sky, baby blue with steaks of orange and pink. I always feel replenished for some reason.
As I approached my home, I noticed my yard becoming so over taken by weeds that it made me sad. I used to love watering my grass and flowers every other day. There’s something about being out under God’s sunlight and my feet connected to the green grass that feels so good and so healing.
As I knelt there pulling weeds, Holy Spirit came to me and said to gently take the weeds from around the runners of grass and loosen the choke hold those weeds were having on them. These weeds represent how negative thoughts of the ego choke the life out of us. If we don’t tend to the weeds and let them rule us, they will take over, just like the ego.
We must be consistently aware that the ego wants to exist in a separate body so it can rule. But the reality is it never can because nothing outside of Love can really exist. We are in the Father and the Father is in us. I remind myself now to keep my eye on the prize, Oneness.
