From “Problem” to Blessing

Revs. Robert & Mary Stoelting

Revs. Robert & Mary StoeltingAs we continue on in our inner journey of returning to our true Identity, we have encountered many obstacles. These obstacles are always areas in our mind that need to be healed.

As we practice seeing these obstacles as opportunities to move past our barriers to Love, it is reinforced in us that each circumstance brings with it a blessing.

For example, we needed to move recently because the house we were renting was being sold. At first we thought, “Oh no!” But, as with every circumstance given to the Holy Spirit, it turns into a blessing. It turns out that we were guided to a place that fitted our needs much better and actually costs less.

Over the years we have learned to say to each other, “I can hardly wait to see the good that comes from this.” Moving is a lot of work, but we are very happy with having more office space and such a convenient location.

This is a good reminder to us not to be quick to judge any situation that comes up in our ‘lives.’ Instead of looking at any situation as a problem, we can see it as a blessing. As we are open and welcome the blessing, it always shows up.

Whenever a situation seems to disturb our peace, it is always a signal to ask Holy Spirit for His way of seeing. With willingness to receive His loving correction, the mistaken perception of a problem is recognized as another opportunity to receive a blessing. As the Holy Spirit helps us see past appearances, we experience the blessing of Love’s Presence.

Going through ‘life’ with this attitude of letting Holy Spirit turn every ‘problem’ into a blessing changes how we look at every situation. In truth we are always being showered with the blessing of God’s Love. Our job is to be open to knowing the blessing is always there, even if we don’t see it right away. The truth is we all are always immersed in God’s Love. Using time to accepting this is now time’s purpose.
