Letting Your Mind be Healed by Holy Spirit

by Gina Lucia, Ministerial Candidate

Every moment of every day is an opportunity for us to heal our perceptions of the world around us, the one in which we see with the body’s eyes. This can only be done with the assistance of the Holy Spirit. This is why it is necessary to have some sort of “spiritual” practice every day. To align ourselves vertically with our higher Holy Spirit selves before we begin the day’s journey can save us from the illusions our inventive minds love to participate in. Lesson 137 teaches us, “When I am healed I am not healed alone.”

“And as you let yourself be healed, you see all those around you, or who cross your mind, or whom you touch or those who seem to have no contact with you, healed along with you. Perhaps you will not recognize all that your healing touches, nor realize how great your offering of healing is to all the world, when you let healing come to you. But you are never healed alone. And legions upon legions will receive the gift of healing that you receive when you are healed.” (W-137.10)

Healing or sickness are your own mind’s decision. Sickness supports the illusion of separation and the limitations that come with the body. Just like with forgiveness, when illusions are brought before the Holy Spirit, the illusion of sickness disappears from the mind of the dreamer. This can only be achieved with the help of the Holy Spirit.

We must ask, “Holy Spirit, how do you see this?” As we quiet our minds, we open to the healing perception. We have opportunity every day to practice receiving miracles from the Holy Spirit. As we receive these miracles let us not forget to extend the miracles that we receive.

Let us give thanks with A Song of Prayer!

“So now return your holy voice to Me. The song of prayer is silent without you. The universe is waiting your release because it is its own. Be kind to it and to yourself, and then be kind to Me. I ask but this; that you be comforted and live no more in terror and in pain. Do not abandon Love. Remember this; whatever you may think about yourself, whatever you may think about the world, your Father needs you and will call to you until you come to Him in peace at last.” (S-3.IV.10)

Be still an instant with me! Let’s go to our Father with empty hands and open hearts, let us accept this, that we do not know what anything in the world means, only our open hearts can bring us home to a world that lay beyond what our body’s eyes perceive. Heaven is here, and Heaven is our home.
