New Pathways of Light Prayer Ministry
We are excited to share with you a new service offered at the Pathways of Light website whereby anyone can request 30 days of dedicated prayer from a Pathways Minister. The Prayer Ministry Team consists of the Revs. Joan Haber, Rebecca Brown, Christine Anderson, Magdalena Smrdelj, Julieanne Paige, and John Wolf. Since it’s inception in early February, the team has received almost 70 prayer requests from all over the world.
Each minister holds the person who requests prayer support in their consciousness for 30 days and shares periodic emails with that person as the month progresses. The inspiration for this ministry comes from a supplemental pamphlet published in conjunction with A Course in Miracles, called The Song of Prayer: Prayer, Forgiveness, Healing, which all Pathways of Light ministers study during their ordination curriculum. In The Song of Prayer, we are reminded that “Prayer is a stepping aside; a letting go, a quiet time of listening and loving” and that “Prayer has no beginning and no end. It is a part of life.”
The Pathways Prayer Ministry Team is eager to receive as many prayer requests as are needed to remember our Oneness with God. It is all of us that benefit from prayer, not just the person that asks. I am reminded of a powerful affirmation that says, “Never underestimate the power of two or more joined together for the purpose of healing.” The Song of Prayer says, “it is not the form of the question that matters, nor how it is asked…. Prayer is a way offered by the Holy Spirit to reach God.”
