A New Way to See

WB lesson 167 Cliffsnotes

WB 167 Cliffsnotes

There is one life and that I share with God.

In this world, there appears to be a state that is life’s opposite. The idea of death takes many forms. It is the single idea which underlies all feelings that are not supremely happy.

Death is only an idea, irrelevant to what is seen as physical.  A thought is in the mind, it can then be applied as mind directs. Thoughts leave not their source. This idea is the reason that you can heal; it is the cause of healing; it is why you cannot die. Its truth established you as one with God. Ideas remain united to their source. They can extend all that their source contains, but they cannot give what was never given them.

Death is the thought that you are separate from your Creator. It is the fixed belief that ideas (thoughts) can leave their source, take on qualities the source does not contain, become different from their origin, apart from it in kind, distance, time and form.

Mind can think it sleeps; it cannot change its waking state; it cannot make a body, nor abide in a body. It cannot make the physical, or give attributes that it lacks. Mind cannot change its own eternal, mindful state. When the mind elects to be what it is not, to assume an alien/unnatural power that it does not have, a foreign state it cannot enter, or a false condition not within its Source, it simply seems to go to sleep.

Our life is not as we imagine it; let us not deny our holy heritage. We will not ask for death/separation in any form today, nor let imagined opposites to life abide even an instant with us. (My mind is part of God’s, I am very holy.)

Today we practice to keep His holy Home as He established it and wills it be forever. He is the Cause of what we think today. In His thoughts we accept that there is one Life and that we share with Him and all creation, and with their thoughts as well, whom He created in a unity of life that cannot separate in death and leave the Source of Life from where it came.

We have one Source, from which perfection comes to us, remaining always in the holy mind that He created perfect. As we were, so are we now. and will forever be.
