Book: The Disappearance of the Universe
by Gary Renard
WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you were sitting quietly in your living room when two mysterious strangers appeared from out of nowhere and then told you they were "ascended masters" who had come to reveal some shocking secrets of existence and teach you the miraculous powers of forgiveness? Would you call the cops? Call a psychiatrist? Call out for pizza?
When two such teachers appeared before Gary Renard in 1992, he chose to listen to them (and ask a lot of impertinent questions). The result is this startling book: an extraordinary record of 17 mind-bending conversations that took place over nearly a decade, reorienting the author's life and giving the world an uncompromising perspective on A Course in Miracles -- a spiritual teaching destined to change human history. 412 pages.

AnonymousDec 31, 1969, 07:00 PMWhat can I say, this book is awesome. This book was the entire reason that my wife and I started to study and practice ACIM. It provides a wonderful bridge from other thought systems into the Course in Miracles thought system. It explains things so simply and so relevantly that it really makes it much easier to understand what A Course in Miracles means, what it's for (forgiveness) and how to apply it in your life.
Gary Renard is funny and witty and his Ascended Master visitors (manifestations of the Holy Spirit), are so filled with wisdom and love. I just finished reading this for the second time and still learned so much from it the second time around!
This book clarifies where so many other `teachers` have misunderstood ACIM and really sets any student on a course of better understanding, cutting out the crap and getting down to the essense of applying the Course for practical awakening.
