I am in the likeness of my Creator. I cannot suffer, I cannot experience loss and I cannot die. I am not a body. I would recognize my reality today. I will worship no idols, nor raise my own self-concept to replace my Self. I am in the likeness of my Creator. Love created me like itself. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.84.1:2-8) God is perfect happiness, peace that cannot be disturbed, and changeless Love without limit. Since His creation shares all that God is, His reality is ours. If we are not experiencing this perfect happiness, changeless Love and peace, we are not recognizing our reality. We are believing in something that could not be real, worshiping an idol. But we can let go of this mistaken allegiance to a false idol that hides our reality from us. By reminding ourselves as we look on the world that what we are perceiving with the body is not God’s creation, is not real, we loosen our allegiance to a mistaken idea.
