Teaching had been my profession for 36 years before I retired almost two years ago. I taught at the high school level – Global History and US History; and I stressed the great importance of the knowledge that history provides. Studying A Course in Miracles, however, certainly has changed my perception of the value of knowing details about the past. I made a nice living and now collect a healthy pension from the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System.
