Forgiveness is probably the most important spiritual lesson for many reasons, one of which is that our lives depend on it. To truly forgive we need to understand the why’s and how’s of how it works. As with any fix-it project, the most important factor, after the decision to repair something, is to use the right tools. Without the proper tools, all the determination in the world usually results in little change. We are fortunate to have these tools today. I wish I’d had them at 16. I wish I’d had them at 30 when I was blaming the world for my problems.
