Reconnecting with the Thoughts We Share with God

My real thoughts are in my mind. I would like to find them.

…go past all the unreal thoughts that cover the truth in your mind, and reach to the eternal.

Under all the senseless thoughts and mad ideas with which you have cluttered up your mind are the thoughts that you thought with God in the beginning. They are there in your mind now, completely unchanged. They will always be in your mind, exactly as they always were. Everything you have thought since then will change, but the Foundation on which it rests is wholly changeless.

Here is your mind joined with the Mind of God. Here are your thoughts one with His.” (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.45.6:4-6;7:1-4;8:2-3)

Because God is but Love, His thoughts are only Love and so are our real thoughts only Love. There can be no separation from God’s Love because It is One.

The thoughts we seem to think in the dream of separation are not our real thoughts. But our real thoughts of Love are still with us. As we forgive or let go of our thoughts of separation in the dream, our loving thoughts come forward to bless the world.

In each moment we have the opportunity to bless the world by letting go of our false ideas with the Holy Spirit’s help. Each time we let ourselves forgive and see with forgiving eyes, we move closer to the full experience of the real world, the forgiven world. We move closer to reconnecting with the thoughts we share with God.

Listening to Holy Spirit

Be very still an instant. Come without all thought of what you ever learned before, and put aside all images you made. The old will fall away before the new without your opposition or intent. There will be no attack upon the things you thought were precious and in need of care. There will be no assault upon your wish to hear a call that never has been made. Nothing will hurt you in this holy place, to which you come to listen silently and learn the truth of what you really want. No more than this will you be asked to learn. But as you hear it, you will understand you need but come away without the thoughts you did not want, and that were never true. (A Course in Miracles, T-31.II.8.)

Today is a day of quiet listening. We have an inner Teacher Who will guide us if we are willing to be receptive and listen. Here we learn what every situation is for. Here we learn true forgiveness. Here we learn to look past the images of separation that the ego shows us to the truth of Love’s eternal oneness.

As we listen in quiet, our inner Teacher gives us a new way to see the world. He helps us move past the clouds of illusion and gently guides us in Love’s gentle ways. Whatever we really need and are ready for in that moment the Holy Spirit shares with us.

We let our minds be healed today as we give time to listening to Holy Spirit.

You Are as God Created You

We will remember Him throughout the day with thankful hearts and loving thoughts for all who meet with us today. For it is thus that we remember Him. And we will say, that we may be reminded of His Son, our holy Self, the Christ in each of us:

I am as God created me.

Let us declare this truth as often as we can. This is the Word of God that sets you free. This is the key that opens up the gate of Heaven, and that lets you enter in the peace of God and His eternity. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.110.11)

Everyone we meet today offers us an opportunity to remember our Self. As we remember to greet them with thankful hearts and loving thoughts, saying to ourselves, “You are as God created you. I am as God created me,” we remember our Self. This practice will make this a day of joy and gratitude. Everyone we meet or think of will be recognized as our brother in the Love of God.

In this state of mind, we will receive Holy Spirit’s inspiration in how to be most helpful in every moment, using time for our shared awakening. We remember that this is what time is for, and we give thanks for a day filled with opportunities to heal.
