Accepting the Certainty of God’s Love

I judge all things as I would have them be.

Judgment was made to be a weapon used against the truth. ²It separates what it is being used against, and sets it off as if it were a thing apart. ³And then it makes of it what you would have it be. ⁴It judges what it cannot understand, because it cannot see totality and therefore judges falsely. ⁵Let us not use it today, but make a gift of it to Him Who has a different use for it. ⁶He will relieve us of the agony of all the judgments we have made against ourselves, and re-establish peace of mind by giving us God’s Judgment of His Son.

Father, we wait with open mind today, to hear Your Judgment of the Son You love. ²We do not know him, and we cannot judge. ³And so we let Your Love decide what he whom You created as Your Son must be. (A Course in Miracles, W-311. See also ACIM Lesson 311 Insights.)

The ego is afraid of God’s judgment. This is because it is afraid of Love’s oneness. God’s judgment is that we remain at one with Him as His one Son. The instant we fully accept this fact the ego will simply cease to seem to exist.

Our true Self knows that we are eternally one with our Father. We cannot lose our true Identity. All we need do to remember It is to forgive our mistaken belief that we have succeeded in separating from God.

This forgiveness is a gentle process under the Holy Spirit’s tutelage. The Holy Spirit patiently helps us forgive the seeming forms for the ego’s denial of Love. As we practice following the Holy Spirit’s lead, we realize that all the forms have one common trait. They are not real. When we fully accept the reality of Love, we awaken to our Home in the Heart of God.
