Be Children of the Truth Today

Let us today be children of the truth, and not deny our holy heritage. Our life is not as we imagine it. Who changes life because he shuts his eyes, or makes himself what he is not because he sleeps, and sees in dreams an opposite to what he is? We will not ask for death in any form today. Nor will we let imagined opposites to life abide even an instant where the Thought of life eternal has been set by God Himself. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.167.10)

To deny our heritage given us by God is to deny perfect happiness, changeless peace and all encompassing eternal Love. That sounds like a description of Heaven, and it is.

The dream of being in a world of separate bodies and separate forms is the denial of our inheritance. We can make another choice. We can accept that we are born of truth, of Love. We can accept that we dwell in joyous unity with All That Is. We can accept that nothing and no one are apart from us, and therefore we are perfectly safe. There is no “other” that could threaten What we are. To be a child of the truth is to accept our Father as He is, and thus accept our Self as we are.

To remember that we are children of the truth, our practice today is to be attentive to Holy Spirit’s vision. He will show us that all our “siblings,” our fellow children of the truth, are one with us and with our Source. And we will walk the day in gratitude.
