Forgiveness Is the Way Home

I let forgiveness rest upon all things, For thus forgiveness will be given me.

I thank You, Father, for Your plan to save me from the hell I made. It is not real. And You have given me the means [Holy Spirit] to prove its unreality to me. The key is in my hand, and I have reached the door beyond which lies the end of dreams. I stand before the gate of Heaven, wondering if I should enter in and be at home. Let me not wait again today. Let me forgive all things, and let creation be as You would have it be and as it is. Let me remember that I am Your Son, and opening the door at last, forget illusions in the blazing light of truth, as memory of You returns to me.

Brother, forgive me now. I come to you to take you home with me. And as we go, the world goes with us on our way to God. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 342, W-pII.342. See also ACIM Lesson 342 Insights.)

When we identify with a body as what we are, we judge that others are bodies also. We cannot see the truth in ourselves or our brothers while we insist that the body is real and what we are. This is why Jesus asks us here to forgive him. We need to set aside the ego’s illusions of bodies.

We need to forgive these images and look beyond them with Christ’s vision. This is how we forgive and join with our brothers in the oneness of Love. Only in this joining can we return to the Heaven that is our Home. We all go Home together because there is no separation in Heaven.

Today we ask the Holy Spirit to help us see truly, beyond the ego’s veil of illusions. With the Holy Spirit’s help, we will remember we are safe at Home in the unity of God’s Love.
