Forgiveness with Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit teaches you the ways of forgiveness. He will help you understand that you are always and only forgiving yourself. It is your sins you are forgiving in your brother, and to forgive your brother is to forgive yourself. When the guilt in your mind is completely healed, you will no longer see guilt anywhere, for only the guilty are impelled to condemn their brothers. One in whom forgiveness has washed away all sense of guilt, can only bless. Where guilt was seen, now is innocence only. Where before was punishment called for, now is heard only the call for Love. (From the Christ Mind, pp. 114-115)

As we learn to follow Holy Spirit’s correction of our perception with every circumstance we encounter, what seemed difficult before now becomes peaceful and clear. We are learning to make forgiveness our highest priority. We are learning to notice whenever we feel angry or not in a place of peace and to immediately open up to Holy Spirit’s way of perceiving the situation in each now moment. We remember that we do not know, but that we have the Source of healing within our mind that does know.

We pause and open to the Light of Truth… We are shown the Love behind every form of anger, frustration or conflict… We let ourselves be reminded that everything we see out in the world is a projection that is coming from our own mind… We see innocence where we once saw guilt “out there.”

We let our minds be brought to truth again and again all through the day. All this comes to us we make forgiveness with Holy Spirit our highest priority. This is the way we let our minds be healed and extend the true perception we receive throughout the world.
