Forgiving the Dream

God’s Son is perfect, or he cannot be God’s Son. Nor will you know him, if you think he does not merit the escape from guilt in all its consequences and its forms. There is no way to think of him but this, if you would know the truth about yourself. I thank you, Father, for Your perfect Son, and in his glory will I see my own. (A Course in Miracles T-30.VI.9:1-4)

My practice for today is to see past all differences to the fact that everyone in the dream is God’s one perfect Son. The illusion of differences does not matter and is only a representation of the ego’s wish to see a separated and guilty world outside itself. Today I choose to see past separation to oneness.

I am getting more and more clearly that forgiveness is the only purpose for the world because it is the Holy Spirit’s purpose. I can make up other seeming purposes, but they seem to have value only because I believe in a false world of separation. Since these made up purposes are based on illusion, they are meaningless.

Because I have bought in to the idea of separation, I need help from beyond this thought system to fulfill my purpose. This help is the Holy Spirit’s function. My part in forgiveness of the world is to bring every unforgiving thought, every image of separation, to the Holy Spirit with willingness to accept His help.

With His help, I can see the innocent face of Christ in every brother. With His help, I can see my Self reflected back to me in every brother. My prayer today is to be willing to accept Holy Spirit’s guidance in all my seeing today. This is how I will see a forgiven world — the real world.
