God’s Gentle Plan to Heal Our Mind

The Atonement does not make holy. ²You were created holy. ³It merely brings unholiness to holiness; or what you made to what you are. ⁴Bringing illusion to truth, or the ego to God, is the Holy Spirit’s only function. ⁵Keep not your making from your Father, for hiding it has cost you knowledge of Him and of yourself. ⁶The knowledge is safe, but where is your safety apart from it? ⁷The making of time to take the place of timelessness lay in the decision to be not as you are. ⁸Thus truth was made past, and the present was dedicated to illusion.

Bringing the ego to God is but to bring error to truth, where it stands corrected because it is the opposite of what it meets [truth]. ²It is undone because the contradiction can no longer stand. ³How long can contradiction stand when its impossible nature is clearly revealed? ⁴What disappears in light is not attacked. ⁵It merely vanishes because it is not true. ⁶Different realities are meaningless, for reality must be one. ⁷It cannot change with time or mood or chance. ⁸Its changelessness is what makes it real.

²The Atonement is so gentle you need but whisper to it, and all its power will rush to your assistance and support. ³You are not frail with God beside you. ⁴Yet without Him you are nothing. ⁵The Atonement offers you God. The belief in separation has split part of our mind apart from the Mind that remains eternally in God’s Mind. The purpose of the Atonement is to bring that split off part of our mind back into the oneness of God. God only knows His Son as one with Himself. But when we have accepted an error as our identity, we have lost our knowledge of God.

God has provided a gentle plan to heal the error in our mind. As we are willing to accept the Holy Spirit’s help we have been given, all the strength of God supports our reunification. God does not punish us for our error. He offers His blessing as He welcomes us Home when we let our error be corrected. In gratitude we accept His welcome.
