Living a Sacred Life

Into His Presence would I enter now.

This is a day of silence and of trust. It is a special time of promise in your calendar of days. It is a time Heaven has set apart to shine upon, and cast a timeless light upon this day, when echoes of eternity are heard.

Today it will be given you to feel a touch of Heaven, though you will return to paths of learning. Yet you have come far enough along the way to alter time sufficiently to rise above its laws, and walk into eternity a while. This you will learn to do increasingly, as every lesson, faithfully rehearsed, brings you more swiftly to this holy place and leaves you, for a moment, to your Self.

He will direct your practicing today, for what you ask for now is what He wills. And having joined your will with His this day, what you are asking must be given you. Nothing is needed but today’s idea [Into His Presence would I enter now] to light your mind, and let it rest in still anticipation and in quiet joy, wherein you quickly leave the world behind. For most of us, our minds are filled with chatter throughout the day. Thoughts about the world, things to do, things to say or not say, hide the Presence of peace that is always in us. But we can set aside this day to practice welcoming silence in our mind. We can trust that our welcome opens our minds to the fact that we are in the Presence of Love, our true Self, now. We need not wait. But we do need to be willing to step back from the busy-ness of the world and connect with the Source of peace within.

It is this connection that makes the present moment sacred because it is the connection with the holy Son of God we are. The experience of this connection is beyond words. But it brings with it a clearer vision that helps us look beyond the world’s images to see that we are all one, wholly immersed in Love’s oneness.

As we bring this vision with us, we help bring forgiveness to the world. For this clear vision shows us that nothing has happened to change our true Self, God’s one Son. We remain eternally innocent, harmless and wholly loving.
