A New Way to See

Grieving the Past

If I grieve over my past mistakes, I am keeping them and making them real. While I hold onto them they are not released, and I will not know that they are nothing. Only when I release my hold do I receive the miracle that what I thought was true was never done. In letting go do I receive what Love gives without restraint.

I must be willing to let go of what I think I know, for I have taught myself wrongly. If what I learned by myself is wrong can any part of it be true? The false can never be partly correct. I can think that something that is false can be otherwise but this will never change the truth. Since I have confused myself with what is false can be true, I need a Guide or Teacher to show me my mistakes. I am willing to let go what I think I know and be reminded that what I see is not the truth. Therefore, I am willing to have my perceptions or thoughts be corrected.

What I seek for is only what has been given me and is already mine. To know that I have it, I must give it freely. Only the truth is true, there are no exceptions. It is my will to see innocence everywhere.

My Little Gift

A mind made insane with guilt, will see a meaningless world. Meaning lies only in truth, the insane do not know truth, believing in the false. Because the body’s eyes were made to see the meaningless or false, I must ask Holy Spirit to “see” and interpret all I think I see. Whenever I think I know, I have shut out H.S.’s interpretation and will be mistaken in my perception. I am willing to see His meaning in everything. I give Him all decisions (my little gift) and let Him decide for me; then I will be happy.

I Am Responsible For What I See

There is no uphill battle, that is a lie. All the things I think about this world are fabrications to defend against Love. As I made these images or ideas, I can let them go. Nothing is “done” to me without my choice. Do I choose for Love or for separation?

Following ideas are found in ACIM T.21.II.

I am responsible for what I see. I choose the feelings I experience, and I decide upon the goal I would achieve. and everything that seems to happen to me I ask for, and receive as I have asked.
Acknowledge that you have been mistaken, and all effects of your mistakes will disappear.

Suffer, and you decided separation was your goal. Be happy, and you gave the power of decision to Him Who must decide for God for you. This is the little gift you offer to the Holy Spirit, and even this He gives to you to give yourself.

You must perceive that What is strong enough to make a world [in thought] can let it go, and can accept correction if it is willing to see that it was wrong. The world you see is only the idle witness that you [egoic mind] were right.

Look closer at what the offering is, and simply see in the little gift the whole exchange of separation for salvation. All that the ego is, is an idea that is is possible that things could happen to the Son of God without his will; and thus without the Will of his Creator, Whose Will cannot be separate from his own. For if you think the world you made has power to make you what it wills, you are confusing Son and Father, effect and Source.

Morning Thoughts

I am completely confident that H.S. takes me wherever I need to go.

There seems to be a part of me (mind) that is very fearful, easily disillusioned, erratic and dangerous. It seems to have a routine that keeps it “safe” and it holds rituals and idols to make its security endure.  Yet in my real mind (the Mind that Love created) is the assurance that all fear will be undone or healed. The dark, disturbing pictures that fear thoughts project will all be taken to the light and dissolved because only Love is real. I am willing to give all such pictures to the Light for healing.

Every dark, fear filled picture the sick mind has drawn, I lay on the altar of Love. All I thought I did or was done to me, has never been. I was mistaken in my pictures and I choose to let them go.

Do I Want to Know God’s Will for Me?

These thoughts came to me on waking.

God’s Will is perfect happiness; when I am not happy I am denying His Will and my own. Do I want to know His Will for me? Or do I choose to not know? When I am not happy I have chosen wrongly. J.C. asks me to choose again, remembering that I am the only one that can deprive myself of anything.

When I ask to see things differently I am asking to see myself anew. If I am open, I receive the clarity of Christ’s vision. When I am willing I receive the truth of my reality: I am forever innocent. I am complete, pure, harmless, and at Home. None of the things I thought I did are true, only false.

I can neither harm or be harmed. I am 100% innocent, and can choose to let my insanity (insane life) go. As long as there is the tiniest scrap of belief in my guilty self/story, I will not be happy. As long as I deny the truth, I cherish my insane wish and dream of punishment and terror, of unending persecution and merciless consequence. Choose again. Do I really want my separation dream to be real?

Choose again, allowing truth to replace lies, wholeness to replace aloneness, clarity to replace confusion. Choose again, letting go of all error. Know again my true life that I share with God. Know again that only Love is real.
