Today We Listen to the Voice of Healing

We will be still and listen for the Voice of healing, which will cure all ills as one, restoring saneness to the Son of God. No voice but this can cure. Today we hear a single Voice which speaks to us of truth, where all illusions end, and peace returns to the eternal, quiet home of God. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.140.10:2-4)

Today we make room for the Voice of healing… Today we make room for truth… We let all the noisy, clamoring thoughts of the world be quiet for a little while… We want only to hear the truth… We leave an empty space where peace can enter and bring with it a change of mind that only God’s Voice can bring… We want only the truth and we know that what we ask for in our heart of hearts we receive… We let our minds be enlightened to see past illusions to the eternal truth about everyone… We receive a change of mind with great gratitude for the healing blessings it brings…

The Voice for healing lifts us up and carries us past ideas of separation, sin and guilt to the awareness of our true nature… We remember that we rest in God eternally, along with every brother… and that illusions of conflict and differences do not matter… We remain safe in the Mind of God, no matter what false ideas we entertain…

We feel God’s joy and happiness with our return to the truth… We share this happiness and eternal peace with the world… We remember that we are safe… we are innocent… we are Loved… we are Home…

We Are Joined as One Mind in the Mind of God

Today we will again give thanks for our Identity in God. Our home is safe, protection guaranteed in all we do, power and strength available to us in all our undertakings. We can fail in nothing. Everything we touch takes on a shining light that blesses and that heals. At one with God and with the universe we go our way rejoicing, with the thought that God Himself goes everywhere with us.

How holy are our minds! And everything we see reflects the holiness within the mind at one with God and with itself. How easily do errors disappear, and death give place to everlasting life. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.124.1;2:1-3)

Today we trust the truth about ourselves and everyone. Today we let ourselves remember that we are one mind in the Mind of God.

We let ourselves relax in the truth that we are safe. We remain as God created us, even though we dream dreams of danger and vulnerability. Our uncertainty and doubt are brought to certainty as we open to the Light of Truth today. We let ourselves be carried as we practice opening to the Light of Truth.

We receive inspiration in how to be truly helpful. We give what we receive as our minds are lightened by the truth. We teach what we need to learn. We rest as our trust in the truth strengthens in our continued practice day be day.

Gratitude for God’s Lifeline

We are grateful that when we bought into the belief in separation and death, God gave us a Lifeline that keeps us eternally connected with the Source of Life. No matter how deeply we sink into dreams of isolation, limitation, lack and vulnerability, we always have that Lifeline to turn to to help us out of the dream.

That Lifeline is the Holy Spirit in our mind Which sees our dreams but knows they are not real. If we are willing to take hold of the Lifeline, to accept Holy Spirit’s help, we have the means to escape the prison of separation and freely join in the limitless Love given us by our Creator.

We choose Holy Spirit’s help today to see the world truly. As we accept His help, we learn that the strength of God is ours, that we are perfectly safe in Him and all our needs are met. And we give thanks.

Seeing Past Bodies to Holiness

The Holy Spirit guarantees that what God willed and gave you shall be yours. This is your purpose now, and the vision that makes it yours is ready to be given. You have the vision that enables you to see the body not. And as you look upon your brother, you will see an altar to your Father, holy as Heaven, glowing with radiant purity and sparkling with the shining lilies [vision of innocence] you laid upon it.

There is no problem, no event or situation, no perplexity that vision will not solve. All is redeemed when looked upon with vision. For this is not your sight, and brings with it the laws beloved of Him Whose sight it is. (A Course in Miracles, T-20.VIII.4:1-4;5:7-9)

If we want to experience the gifts of joy and peace that God has given us, we must be willing to accept the Holy Spirit’s vision in place of what we seem to see through the body’s eyes. The body is a self-made image and can only show us made up images. The Holy Spirit’s vision looks past these images to the changeless truth that we remain as God created us. We remain Love and nothing else.

Holy Spirit, give me Your strength to receive Your vision and see past the made up images to the Oneness that I share with all my brothers. Help me to know that there is nothing beyond this Oneness. I am willing to accept Your help to see my brother truly and learn of the Self we share. With Your help I will stand with my brother in holiness before our Creator and know that I am Home. I will remember God’s peace and joy are mine.

We Are Love and Nothing Else

And as we look upon a world forgiven, it is He Who calls to us and comes to take us home, reminding us of our Identity which our forgiveness has restored to us. (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.8.5:4)

Our Identity, which God created one with Him, is eternal and changeless. To not know our eternal Identity, we must actively deny It. We have to continuously turn our back on Love and tell ourselves that we lack Love in order to maintain the illusion of separation.

When the Course tells us that we need do nothing, it is telling us that we need to stop actively denying our Identity. The moment we stop denying our Identity without reservation or exception, we will awaken to our oneness in Love, in God. The only reason we maintain our denial of Love is because we think there is something more valuable in the thought system of separation. Gently, patiently and steadily the Course is teaching us to recognize that this world truly offers us nothing we want, nothing of value.

Forgiveness comes as we recognize that what we thought we wanted in the world no longer has value to us. When we recognize that no one has to behave in a certain way for us to be happy, the behavior no longer has value to us — we have forgiven it. When we recognize that having a certain job, relationship, status or belongings has no value to us, we let those ideas go — we forgive them.

This is how we step back from denying our Identity and open the door to welcome the Truth of what we are. We accept our Identity and God welcomes us Home. God cannot accept the false identity we made up because it is inconceivable to Him. But He has always accepted the Identity of the Son He created, which we are. We are Love and nothing else.

Accepting God’s Peace

Where would I go but Heaven? What could be a substitute for happiness? What gift could I prefer before the peace of God? What treasure would I seek and find and keep that can compare with my Identity? And would I rather live with fear than love? (A Course in Miracles, W-pII.287.1)

The peace of God is our inheritance. It’s already ours. We don’t have to seek for it. But we do need to accept it and extend it to know that we have the peace of God.

Judgment is a defense against the peace of God. It blocks peace from our awareness because it maintains that there is something external from us to judge. Separation and peace cannot coexist.

We accept the peace of God by letting go of judgment — turning over all judgment to the Holy Spirit. His judgment is always: “real or unreal, Love or nothing.” Today we practice walking moment by moment with Holy Spirit guiding our thoughts and actions. With His help we will set aside our denials of peace and offer only peace to the world.

We Heal as We Join with Holy Spirit Today

Healing, forgiveness, and the glad exchange of all the world of sorrow for a world where sadness cannot enter, are the means by which the Holy Spirit urges you to follow Him. His gentle lessons teach how easily salvation can be yours; how little practice you need undertake to let His laws replace the ones you made to hold yourself a prisoner to death. His life becomes your own, as you extend the little help He asks in freeing you from everything that ever caused you pain. (A Course in Miracles, W-pI.137.9)

We open to Holy Spirit’s lessons today… We let His Thoughts replace the fearful thoughts of the ego thought system. We let healing come to us…

As we let our minds be healed, we become instruments of healing… We extend the loving Presence that we have received… We let illusions be brought to truth…

We are filled with gratitude for all the help we receive and extend. We join with every brother to let healing be.
