Bringing Love’s Unity to the World

My true Identity abides in You.

Father, I made an image of myself, and it is this I call the Son of God. Yet is creation as it always was, for Your creation is unchangeable. Let me not worship idols. I am he my Father loves. My holiness remains the light of Heaven and the Love of God. Is not what is beloved of You secure? Is not the light of Heaven infinite? Is not Your Son my true Identity, when You created everything that is?

Now are we one in shared Identity, with God our Father as our only Source, and everything created part of us. And so we offer blessing to all things, uniting lovingly with all the world, which our forgiveness has made one with us. (A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 283, W-pII.283. It doesn’t seem that everyone in the world is the Son of God. We see behavior that doesn’t show us expressions of God’s Love. But this perception comes from the ego’s false foundation of belief that separation is real. What we perceive in the world through the body is false images that blind us to the recognition of God’s Son. The body was made from the ego’s denial of Love, so it is incapable of recognizing the presence of Love everywhere. It can only see a false identity.

To be free of this false identity, we need to forgive the belief in lovelessness. Instead of relying on the body as our source of information, we need to turn to our Source and listen to His Voice. Like changing the TV channel, we switch from the ego’s fake news to the Holy Spirit’s vision of Truth. We make this switch by pausing and focusing our attention on the peace in our hearts. As we let ourselves settle into peace, Love’s Light enlightens our perception. The veil of false belief fades away as we let the vision of Love show us the presence of God’s Son everywhere, including ourselves.

Let’s bring Love’s unity to the world by choosing to accept Love’s vision of Truth.
