Going to Our Place of Peace

God alone is sure, and He will guide our footsteps. He will not desert His Son in need, nor let him stray forever from his home. The Father calls; the Son will hear. And that is all there is to what appears to be a world apart from God, where bodies have reality.

You have come to where the road is carpeted with leaves of false desires, fallen from the trees of hopelessness you sought before. Now are they underfoot. And you look up and on toward Heaven, with the body’s eyes but serving for an instant longer now. Peace is already recognized at last, and you can feel its soft embrace sur­round your heart and mind with comfort and with love.

The peace of God is ours, and only this will we accept and want. Peace be to us today. For we have found a simple, happy way to leave the world of ambiguity, and to replace our shifting goals and solitary dreams with single purpose and companionship. We have a place to go where we can feel perfectly safe and at peace. It is not a place in the world and it does not involve the body at all. It is in the Mind we share with God, where the body is no longer accepted as our identity. Free of false claims of the reality of separation and the body, we rest in the eternal now moment at peace and certain of our safety.

What the body’s eyes see is dismissed as meaningless and the vision of Christ is accepted as it shows us only Love is real. We have freed ourselves to be what we were created to be—at one with God, at Home in the Heaven of His Love.
