Claiming the Love That Is Already Ours

Light and joy and peace abide in me.

I am the home of light and joy and peace. I welcome them into the home I share with God, because I am a part of Him.

I am as God created me.

I will remain forever as I was, created by the Change­less like Himself. And I am one with Him, and He with me. (W-pI.112.1-2)

This lesson is reminding us about what we already have and are. We don’t realize this because we have given our allegiance to the ego, which is the denial of God’s gifts. We can reclaim God’s gifts by giving our allegiance to the Holy Spirit in our mind.

Each time we ask for and accept His help to see past the ego’s illusions to the truth of Love’s eternal Reality, we weaken our attachment to the ego thought system. We let go of judgment based on separation and accept the Holy Spirit’s only judgment: Only Love is real; nothing else exists.

Today we ask the Holy Spirit to direct our thoughts, for we would let Him heal our fear based thoughts. We are ready and willing to accept God’s gifts and be free of fear.
