Accepting God’s Changeless Love

This is the shift that true perception brings: What was projected out is seen within, and there forgiveness lets it disappear.

Where God’s memory has come at last there is no journey, no belief in sin, no walls, no bodies, and the grim appeal of guilt and death is there snuffed out forever.

O my brothers, if you only knew the peace that will envelop you and hold you safe and pure and lovely in the Mind of God, you could but rush to meet Him where His altar is. Hallowed your Name and His, for they are joined here in this holy place. Here He leans down to lift you up to Him, out of illusions into holiness; out of the world and to eternity; out of all fear and given back to love. (A Course in Miracles, C-4.6:1;7:7-8:2)

Forgiveness is the path to Heaven’s gate. It is the release from illusions that we could be anywhere but safe in the Heart of God. It is the acceptance that the appearance of being separate and excluded from Heaven can only be illusion.

Illusions recognized as illusions disappear. This recognition is forgiveness. God’s Voice is always with us, given us to teach us to recognize illusion as it is and to give us His strength to see past illusion.

As we accept His help and let all illusions go, we stand at the gate of Heaven where God takes us into His Arms and welcomes us to the Home we never really left. It is a celebration of joy as we accept God’s changeless Love as our own.
