Accepting Our Calling

When you have looked upon your brother with complete forgiveness, from which no error is excluded and nothing kept hidden, what mistake can there be anywhere you cannot overlook? ²What form of suffering could block your sight, preventing you from seeing past it? ³And what illusion could there be you will not recognize as a mistake; a shadow through which you walk completely undismayed? ⁴God would let nothing interfere with those whose wills are His, and they will recognize their wills are His, because they serve His Will. ⁵And serve it willingly. ⁶And could remembrance of what they are be long delayed?

You will see your value through your brother’s eyes, and each one is released as he beholds his savior in place of the attacker who he thought was there. ²Through this releasing is the world released. ³This is your part in bringing peace. If we are walking and see a shadow across our path, we don’t hesitate to keep walking through the shadow. We know the shadow can have no effect on us. This sense of safety comes with our perception of the world when we have completely forgiven it for all we thought it was. Our brothers become our saviors because we see the Light of Love in them.

Whenever attack seems real, we are called to ask the Holy Spirit to help us perceive it as nothing more than a shadow of an illusion. This is our function in the world. As we forgive our illusions, we see the present moment as an opportunity to answer calls for Love with Love.

The more we let forgiveness clear our vision, the greater is our peace of mind. We see the gift every brother offers us, for he is, in truth, Love and nothing else. We can overlook appearances of what bodies do and join with the reality of Love that is everywhere. This is our calling in the world.
