Accepting Our God Given Destiny

If God’s Will for you is complete peace and joy, unless you experience only this you must be refusing to acknowledge His Will. ²His Will does not vacillate, being changeless forever. ³When you are not at peace it can only be because you do not believe you are in Him. ⁴Yet He is All in all. ⁵His peace is complete, and you must be included in it. ⁶His laws govern you because they govern everything. ⁷You cannot exempt yourself from His laws, although you can disobey them. ⁸Yet if you do, and only if you do, you will feel lonely and helpless, because you are denying yourself everything.

I am come as a light into a world that does deny itself everything. ²It does this simply by dissociating itself from everything. ³It is therefore an illusion of isolation, maintained by fear of the same loneliness that is its illusion. ⁴I said that I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. ⁵That is why I am the light of the world. ⁶If I am with you in the loneliness of the world, the loneliness is gone. ⁷You cannot maintain the illusion of loneliness if you are not alone. ⁸My purpose, then, is still to overcome the world. ⁹I do not attack it, but my light must dispel it because of what it is. ¹⁰Light does not attack darkness, but it does shine it away. ¹¹If my light goes with you everywhere, you shine it away with me. ¹²The light becomes ours, and you cannot abide in darkness any more than darkness can abide wherever you go. ¹³The remembrance of me is the remembrance of yourself, and of Him Who sent me to you. God created us, His Son, to be with Him in complete peace and joy. This is our destiny. If we experience anything other than peace and joy, we have turned away from our destiny. We have denied God’s gifts. God has not changed His Mind about His Creation; He as not withdrawn His gifts.

When we identify with the ego’s wish for specialness, we are denying our destiny. Unhappiness and loneliness are inevitable with this identification. But we can change our mind. To return to our destiny, we need help from outside the closed ego thought system. God gave us this Help in our mind.

We can turn to the Holy Spirit in any moment. We can welcome the Holy Spirit’s Voice by allowing ourselves to step back from the chaos of the world. His Voice is heard in quiet. In quietness, the Holy Spirit will help us see past the images of loneliness and differences to the unity of Love.  As we learn to see past the forms in the world, we recognize that we live in Love. We live in peace and happiness.

Today we choose the Holy Spirit’s guidance by pausing frequently to quiet our minds. He will bring Light to our dark thoughts to dispel them. And we will see our brothers and our world through the eyes of Love.
